About Us

Barber Casanovas Ruffles Limited is a Cambridge based Practice currently 11 strong, comprised 2 Principals, 1 Associate, 2 Architects, 4 Assistants/Technologists and 2 Administrative staff. In addition, there are a number of freelance Architects and Technicians who work on a regular basis with the company to assist with fluctuations in workload.

The principals are:

Neil Ruffles Dip Arch (Leics) RIBA

The Principals each have many years of experience in the profession, and for several years worked together in one of the largest Practices in Britain, where they attained Associate status. In 1984 they formed Barber Casanovas Ruffles in a desire to have the freedom to express their own design philosophy, pursue the refinement of building detailing and construction and to dedicate themselves to a high level of client services fidelity and satisfaction.

The Practice is dedicated to providing its clients with a professional and responsive service. Each Principal controls a number of projects from inception to completion, thus providing continuity and maintaining a close identifiable relationship with the client. Close working liaison within the office ensures the Principals' various strengths can be combined into all projects. It is on this foundation that a talented team of qualified and technical staff, with a long term commitment to excellence has been built.

The Practice flourishes on a wide cross section of commissions and variety of projects. Projects include work for Local Authorities, The Church Diocese, The Property Services Agency, Universities, The Cambridge Colleges, Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Retail, Hotel and Leisure.
